Engaging a collage of stories, memories, and photos to create portraits of the bond between people and their pets.
More than a simple commissioned pet portrait, I try to “listen” and “see” the relationship between a person and their pet by considering a collage of stories, memories, and photos you, my client, provide. From this information, I strive to create a visual representation of the bond you experience with your pet.

There is a motion and life to the painting. This is something that an artist must feel to translate. For us, this sets Cindy's work in a category of its own.
CINDY SHORT
Is an artist and educator working at the intersections of community formation and art. She is curious about how our stories connect us to our worlds and each other, and engages with collaborative projects, public performance and traditional art practices to explore those connections. Cindy currently lives in the hills of Malibu with her two teenage boys, her partner, two dogs, and a great love for taco and soup-making.
